Sonoran Estate Winery
location_onSummerland, Okanagan Valley
Observatory Wines is a small Summerland winery on Bridgeman Road, set on the benchland above Okanagan Lake in the heart of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. The winery occupies the former Sonoran Estate property, which became Summerland Estate Winery and, in 2025, was reborn as Observatory Wines under winemaker Blair Gillingham. The roughly three-acre estate vineyard has been farmed organically, and the new venture focuses on small-lot Okanagan wines made on site. The tasting room is open to visitors daily from late spring through the season, and the winery hosts regular events such as live music afternoons and themed tastings that pair its wines with food and conversation. Visitors will find a relaxed, personal setting a short drive from Summerland's other bench wineries, making it an easy addition to a self-guided Summerland or Okanagan tour. Because the winery is newly rebranded, it is worth confirming current tasting-room hours and event dates directly before visiting.
