50th Parallel Estate

location_onLake Country, Okanagan Valley

50th Parallel Estate occupies a striking 61-acre site on Terrace View Road in Lake Country, near the shores of Okanagan Lake between Kelowna and Vernon. Proprietors Curtis Krouzel and Sheri-Lee Turner-Krouzel built the estate from scratch, hand-planting the first ten acres of vines in 2009, and the winery has since grown into one of the North Okanagan's destination stops. The house focus is Pinot Noir along with aromatic white wines, and the winery deliberately keeps a small portfolio so it can concentrate on quality; its wines have earned recognition on the international stage, and the building itself collected design awards in 2018 for its architecture and interior.

For visitors, 50th Parallel offers reserved tastings as well as group and private bespoke tours that lead through the estate's wine caves. The on-site Block One Restaurant serves fine dining built around regional and seasonal ingredients, making it easy to turn a tasting into a full afternoon. The property also hosts weddings for up to 175 guests and corporate functions ranging from intimate dinners to events of several hundred people, with private spaces available throughout the estate. A wine club, the Unparalleled Club, gives members access to releases and benefits through the year. Set along Lake Country's Scenic Sip wine trail, the estate combines dramatic lake and vineyard views with a polished, modern hospitality program, and it makes a natural anchor for a day of touring the wineries north of Kelowna. Reservations are recommended for both tastings and the restaurant, particularly in the busy summer months when the patio and dining room fill with travellers working their way through Okanagan wine country.
