Serendipity Winery

Serendipity Winery is a family-run estate on Lower Debeck Road just outside Naramata village, in the celebrated Naramata Bench sub-region of the Okanagan Valley. The winery is guided by a mother and daughter team, Judy and Katie, whose hands-on approach gives the property the warm, personal feel that draws visitors back to the Bench's smaller producers year after year. Set among the vineyards and orchards that slope toward Okanagan Lake, Serendipity offers a quieter, more intimate alternative at the far end of the Naramata wine route, rewarding those who venture past the busier stops closer to Penticton. The tasting room is open daily from ten to five through October, with two ways to taste: a standard flight with a fifteen-dollar fee that is refunded with purchase, or a VIP seated experience in the barrel hall, where guests settle in for a staff-guided session pairing wines with food and learning the principles behind each match. A wine club offers ongoing access to releases, and the online shop ships favourites home. Food lovers have an extra reason to visit: Terroir Kitchen, the on-site restaurant, returns for 2026 under the same chef, now operating as an independent business alongside the winery, making it possible to combine a tasting with a meal in one of the Bench's loveliest rural settings. Naramata itself is one of British Columbia's most rewarding wine destinations, a narrow shelf of vineyards between lake and clay bluffs dotted with dozens of small wineries, and Serendipity's location near the village makes it an easy addition to any touring day, whether by car or along the Kettle Valley Rail Trail that threads through the Bench. For travellers seeking genuine family hospitality and a relaxed, food-friendly tasting experience, Serendipity lives up to its name.
