See Ya Later Ranch
location_onOkanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley
See Ya Later Ranch occupies a storied hilltop above Okanagan Falls at 2575 Green Lake Road, where vineyard history runs deeper than almost anywhere else in the Okanagan Valley. Major Hugh Fraser purchased the property in 1920 and planted its first vines, beginning more than a century of grape growing on this high, cool site overlooking the valley. Fraser was a famously colourful character, and the winery embraces his eccentric legacy throughout the visitor experience, from the heritage buildings to wine names that nod to the ranch's lore, including the affectionately titled Jimmy My Pal. The elevated location gives See Ya Later Ranch some of the South Okanagan's most stunning views, with the valley unfolding below the tasting room and gum-tree-lined picnic grounds, and the cooler hilltop conditions suit the aromatic and elegant styles the winery is known for. The portfolio spans crisp whites such as Riesling and Viognier, popular roses including Nelly Rose and Legacy Rose, a Brut sparkling wine, and reds from Pinot Noir and Syrah to the Ping Meritage blend. Wine tastings are available by booking, and the on-site bistro turns a tasting stop into a leisurely lunch, pairing seasonal plates with wines and those panoramic views. The events calendar keeps the property lively through the season, with offerings that have included a Friday night dinner series, tribute concerts and Pride in the Vines celebrations. Okanagan Falls sits between Penticton and Oliver in the heart of the South Okanagan, and See Ya Later Ranch makes a natural anchor stop on a day exploring the area's acclaimed wineries. Few BC wineries combine this much history, scenery and personality in one visit, and the drive up Green Lake Road remains one of the valley's classic wine-touring moments.
