Lake Breeze Vineyards

location_onNaramata, Okanagan Valley

Lake Breeze Vineyards sits on Sammet Road in the village of Naramata, in one of the prettiest corners of the Naramata Bench, where its motto, Life is better at the Lake, sets the tone for a visit. The winery aims to produce wines that are the epitome of the Okanagan, and its portfolio is organized into several collections, including the Lake Breeze white and red ranges, the Cellar Series, and the MacIntyre Heritage Reserve. The estate has a particular reputation for white wines, with award-winning bottlings such as a Roussanne Viognier blend and an Alizé Roussanne featured among current releases. The tasting room and wine shop are open daily from 11 am to 5 pm with no reservations required, offering a curated tasting for a modest fee, and case buyers receive a complimentary thirteenth bottle.

What sets Lake Breeze apart for many visitors is The Patio, its acclaimed outdoor restaurant overlooking the vines. Open daily for lunch seatings from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, The Patio serves seasonally inspired plates prepared with locally sourced ingredients, each designed to pair with Lake Breeze wines, and smaller groups are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis. The property also features a Farmstead Garden that is open to visitors year-round. Set a short drive from Penticton along the Naramata Bench wine route, with Okanagan Lake glinting below, Lake Breeze combines serious winemaking with one of the region's most relaxing settings, and a long lunch on the patio after a tasting has become a ritual for wine tourists doing the Bench. It is an essential stop on any Naramata itinerary, particularly for lovers of Rhône-style whites and al fresco dining.
