Lake Bottom Cider

Lake Bottom Cider has one of the better origin stories on the Fraser Valley cider trail. When Sean and Bonnie Bredenhof moved onto their Yarrow property in 2017 to start a chicken farm, they inherited an overgrown, neglected orchard planted back in the 1980s and buried under blackberry bushes. With encouragement from neighbouring producers, the family cleared and revived it, and by 2019 Lake Bottom Cider was born, with a tasting room following in 2021. Today the ciders are fermented, aged and bottled right on the family farm, and the operation leans heavily on local fruit and Chilliwack-area suppliers, keeping the whole process close to home. The result is craft cider with a real sense of place and a friendly, family-first attitude captured in their cheerful motto, "see you at the bottom." The tasting room was built to be a space where families and friends can come and relax, and that ethos shows.
