Da Silva Vineyards

Da Silva Vineyards carries one of the deepest farming lineages in the Okanagan. The family traces its roots in viticulture to Portugal's Azorean islands in the mid-1700s, and after immigrating to the South Okanagan in 1955 the Da Silvas continued that legacy, farming this land for more than six decades. The winery, located at 375 Upper Bench Road North on the Penticton side of the Naramata Bench, channels that heritage into wines made with traditional old-world techniques, with a stated focus on crafting wines that directly reflect the individuality of the family growers and the vineyards behind each bottle. It is an approach that lets vineyard character, rather than heavy cellar work, shape both the wine and how it ages.
The visitor experience is intimate by design. Tastings are seated and curated, featuring four wines selected by the winemaker, with groups capped at six people so the conversation stays personal; reservations are recommended through the website or by email, and the tasting room is adults-only at 19 plus, with service animals welcome. Hours expand through the season, running weekends in early spring and daily through the summer months, so checking current times before visiting is wise. Food is a serious part of the story here as well: The Kitchen, the on-site restaurant, offers dishes built to pair with the wines, making Da Silva a strong choice for travellers who want a longer, more considered stop amid the Naramata corridor's busy tasting circuit. Set on the Upper Bench just outside Penticton, the winery sits at the gateway to the Naramata Bench wine route, with the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and Okanagan Lake nearby. For visitors drawn to family history, Portuguese tradition and unhurried hospitality, Da Silva delivers all three in one stop.
