Castoro de Oro Estate Winery

Castoro de Oro Estate Winery sits on the famed Golden Mile near Oliver in the South Okanagan, its name a playful Italian rendering of golden beaver that nods to both the winery's Canadian roots and its prized location. The vineyard was established in 1980, making it home to some well-seasoned vines, and benefits from a unique combination of alluvial soils, a southeast aspect with excellent sun exposure, and natural frost drainage from the nearby elevations. Family owned and operated, the winery manages the entire process from grape to glass, an approach that keeps quality decisions in the family's hands at every step. The portfolio covers an approachable range that includes unoaked Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Viognier among the whites, Pinot Noir and Merlot among the reds, and popular proprietary blends such as the Heart of Gold white and Crimson Rhapsody red, plus a Pinot Duetto rose.
