Blind Tiger Vineyards

Blind Tiger Vineyards is a small, family-owned and operated organic winery in Lake Country, set on Bond Road with views over Wood Lake in the central Okanagan Valley. The family planted their first blocks of Riesling and Gewurztraminer in 2010, later adding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and earned organic certification from the North Okanagan Organic Association in 2013 before opening their doors to the public in 2015. The name nods to Prohibition-era speakeasies, and the winery carries that playful, social spirit through to the visitor experience today. Blind Tiger is one of the stops on Lake Country's Scenic Sip wine trail, a cluster of wineries strung along the hillsides between Kelowna and Vernon that makes for an easy self-guided touring day.
A visit here is as much about the atmosphere as the wine. Tastings are offered with both reservations and walk-ins welcome, and the patio serves wood-fired pizza along with fresh salads and charcuterie, plus cocktails and mocktails for those who want something beyond the wine list. Friday nights bring live music with a small cover charge and no reservation needed, and the property is pet-friendly, so four-legged travel companions are welcome too. The family describes the winery as a celebration of inclusivity, good vibes and unforgettable experiences, and the setting delivers: rows of organically farmed vines sloping toward the lake, with mountain and water views in nearly every direction. Hours vary by season, with tastings typically in the late morning and early afternoon and pizza and cocktail service running later in the day during the warmer months. For visitors exploring Lake Country, Blind Tiger pairs well with the neighbouring Scenic Sip wineries and offers a relaxed, unpretentious counterpoint to the larger estates further south in the valley.
